Ghostly is slowly but surely winding down the year that was 2014, but before we check out for the holidays, allow us to leave you with something special. Available now as a free download, Ghostly Swim 2 is our second collaborative compilation with the fine folks at Adult Swim, and was curated from an eclectic array of international talent.
The 13-track release features unreleased music from Ghostly artists Shigeto, Heathered Pearls, Lord RAJA, Dauwd, and Patricia, as well as tracks from friends like CFCF, Nautiluss, Anenon, Babe Rainbow, Mary Lattimore & Jeff Zeigler, and Feral, among others. Ghostly Swim 2 combines zonked ambient textures with punch-drunk house and techno for a collection that’ll offer you solace whenever you need it the most.
We’re sure you’ve all seen them by now, the endless throng of annual lists praising the best songs, albums, and artists to appear throughout the year. It’s an entertaining way to look back over 2014, and to remind ourselves of the music and experiences that meant the most to us. A good number of Ghostly mentions were made this year, too, so we’ve compiled our own list of Best of 2014 nods. Congrats to all!

It may now be nearing seven years since we teamed with the fine folks at Adult Swim for the first Ghostly Swim compilation, but we feel it’s never too late to revisit one of our favorite collaborations. And so we’ll return this holiday season with Ghostly Swim 2, a 13-track offering of wayward ambient sounds and seasick house music.
The news was first announced today on Wired, where one of the release’s exclusive productions also premiered. Featuring unreleased music from Shigeto, Dauwd, Anenon, CFCF, Patricia, Mary Lattimore & Jeff Zeigler, Heathered Pearls, and more, Ghostly Swim 2 will be available as a free download on December 23.
Ghostly is currently in the middle of celebrating our latest collaboration with Danish audio brand AIAIAI, the special-edition Ghostly TMA-1 headphones. So far, we’ve taken over their Instagram, published a joint city guide on our blog, and featured here, given away a collection of unreleased remixes. Available as a free stream and download, Ghostly Versions: Music for Headphones features Lusine, Recondite, and Shigeto tracks as reworked by talented Ghostly friends Vatican Shadow, Monty Luke, and Moors.
Brooklyn duo Beacon released their excellent L1 EP this week, just after it premiered on The Huffington Post. And now the pair has appeared in the latest edition of Against the Clock, FACT TV’s ongoing video series. In the quick piece, Beacon are given 10 minutes to make a new song from scratch, and what they come up with is a confident nod to the introspective and beat-friendly music featured across their new record.
