Thousand Thursday, the sophomore full-length by multi-faceted NYC artist Michna, is still on its way to releasing next week—February 3rd, to be exact—but has been preceded by a full album stream. Matrixxman is at it again! The unstoppable San Francisco DJ/producer continues to surprise us with his prolific release schedule, and we’re happy to announce that his next 12” will hit Spectral Sound on March 16.
Called StuxNet, the four-song EP features two original productions backed by remixes from Chicago house experimentalist Hieroglyphic Being and Sandwell District affiliate Silent Servant. Matrixxman has unleashed “StuxNet Part II” ahead of his new record’s release, premiering the gummy, hardware-crafted acid jam on Jon Hopkins’ BBC Radio 1 Residency show.
Teaming up with Latvian visual artist Eltons Kūns, Beacon has premiered its brand-new single, “Better Love”, on multimedia publishing platform NewHive. The song arrives paired with a gorgeous animated piece by Kūns, who compliments the weightless music with his own subtle movements and muted palette.
Following the release of Beacon’s L1 EP late last year, Welsh DJ/producer Dauwd has turned in a spritely remix of that record’s evocative “Fault Lines” single. The groove-heavy track just premiered on Beatport, and is available now as a digital single alongside Beacon’s original song.
London DJ/producer and resident “slow listener” Fort Romeau has announced his return, this time readying his first full-length album for Ghostly. Called Insides, the eight-song LP was unveiled today on The FADER along with its artwork, tracklist, and lead single.
Fort Romeau told the magazine of his upcoming record’s title track, ”’Insides’ typifies my approach to this whole album, taking in influences from further afield than before. It’s as indebted to kosmische and early electronic music as it is house and disco.” That new single, as well as the other details for Insides, can be found here, before the album releases on March 31.
The second single to arrive from Michna’s upcoming Thousand Thursday LP premiered today on The FADER, and represents the icy, pop-touched side of the NYC producer’s eclectic sophomore album. “Solid Gold”, which features a breathy vocal appearance from MNDR, is available now, before Michna’s full-length releases on February 3.
