[NEWS] Kill Screen Talks With C418 About His Soundtrack to Minecraft

In this feature for the great long-form video publication Kill Screen, Daniel Rosenfeld—who records as C418—talked about his musical beginnings, and how he eventually came to develop the soundtrack for Minecraft. He specifically addresses the music’s beautiful, ambient aesthetic, and how it complements the game in surprising and unlikely ways: “’When I started working on the game, it was just a prototype of a world…it was a very lonely experience back then. We didn’t implement online multiplayer, so it was by design very lonely. And luckily, it still turns out to be kind of a lonely game, even if you play with your friends.’”
