Huntley Miller’s Cepia alias works the sublime by welding haunting melodies to machinist beats to construct a voice that even Bjork loves (truth). As a “single” attached to his long-awaited Natura Morta LP, Ghostly Digital offers a new song “Brown” as well as a reinterpretation of a Cepia standard, in “As (Michigan Mix)”.
The title track does what Cepia is known for, cool melodics on top of rugged beats, this time sounding particularly melancholy. The As remix is a propulsive rework of a song from Cepia’s Pearl EP recorded while on tour in Detroit.
