Fernando Mastrangelo

Fernando Mastrangelo (b. 1978) lives and works in Brooklyn. He recently launched AMMA Studio with designer Samuel Amoia, a design, furniture and architectural interiors company. He is also working in collaboration with Napster founder Shawn Fanning, Al One is an ambitious and comprehensive sculptural installation addressing the increasing complexities of social networking, the project will be launched in 2015. He recently completed his first major private commission which includes his largest sculptures to date, and his work will be featured on the cover of FLAUNT magazine in the September 2014 issue. Mastrangelo was named the first Artist-in-Residence at the newly founded Kowal+Odermatt Projects in Miami Florida, where he debuted his most latest series of works Medallions. He is in numerous private collections and his 2008 sculpture Avarice was acquired by the Brooklyn Museum and is currently on view as part of the Connecting Cultures Exhibition.
